Paint stripper and sandpaper. Not hard, just takes awhile. Use lots of cleacoat though haha.

They grip fine at the parks I usually ride. They start to slip rarely on extremely slick parks that I've been to.

Like any tire, they'll slipped once in a while on loose gravel and stuff. Over all though, they grip extremely well and last a long time.
